Save Warwickshire On-Call

Warwickshire Senior Leadership Team are proposing to remodel its emergency response, the proposal includes to removal of ALL of its On-Call firefighters, replacing them with Part-time crews and Surge Teams. 

For the avoidance of doubt, the FRSA opposes these proposals and over the coming weeks and months will be highlighting the flaws in the proposals and provide an alternative proposal.

North Warwickshire

Average second appliance will be slower by 2 minutes and 9 seconds.

Nuneaton & Bedworth

Average first attendance will be quicker by 35 seconds.

Average second appliance will be slower by 1 minute and 54 seconds.

Rugby

The service is proposing to use a Surge Team of 128 firefighters, covering 4 watches to respond to incidents of very high demand, historical data suggests this will be just 4 times over a 5-year period.
