Following the appointment of the new Prime Minister and subsequent government reshuffle, Brandon Lewis MP has been appointed to the position of Minister of State for Police and the Fire Service. Mr Lewis previously held the Fire Minister position when ‘Fire’ was within the Department for Communities and Local Government.

Mr Lewis is the fourth Minister responsible for Fire in the last 15 months.
