Dame Diana Johnson is the new Minister of State for Policing, Fire and Crime Prevention.

Dame Diana was previously the Chair of the Home Affairs Committee, taking evidence from Fire and Rescue Service stakeholders in regard to culture and behavioural issues raised by HMICFRS in English Services, resulting in Dame Diana writing to the then Home Secretary, Rt Hon James Cleverly with her concerns.

The FRSA has written to the new Fire Minister, and we look forward to meeting her in due course to share our views on the direction the sector needs to take and learn lessons from past government inaction.
