The National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) On-call National Research Study, which explores the sustainability of the on-call firefighter duty system across the UK has now been shared with the FRSA but not publicly. As soon as it becomes more widely available, we will make the document available on our website.

The report was produced by Exact Consultant Ltd, an independent consultancy, with funding from MHCLG and NFCC.

It’s a thorough piece of work which brings up to date the ongoing problems and potential solutions to tackle the challenges of recruiting to and retaining staff of the On-Call Duty System.

At this current time the document is being shared with local FRSA officials in confidence for further comment which will be fed back to the NFCC.
