We want your views on government consultation

As we highlighted last month, the Home Office published its long-awaited white paper, containing its proposals on reforming the Fire and Rescue service in England.

As a ‘member-led’ union, we are extremely keen to obtain your views on the proposals.

To enable this to happen, we’ve created an online facility whereby you can access the text of the consultation document and provide your views which will be sent direct to FRSA HQ.

We will collate all the responses, which will be used as a resource to formulate our formal response to the consultation exercise.

Admittedly, the government’s document can be very dry and wordy and we are not expecting individuals to necessary respond to every question, and it is not mandatory to do so, therefore you can choose to just answer the questions that are important to you and submit to us in confidence.

If you are pushed for time, you can also save your answers and return to complete the survey later, but our survey will close on 25 July.

The government’s consultation document is about the future of your FRS in England, and we expect devolved administrations to undertake a similar exercise in the future, but for now, this relates specifically to England only.

Here is a link to the survey and a QR code is available below for ease of access. This e-bulletin will also be available on our website.

Your voice matters to us, so please make sure you have your say on the government’s proposals via our online resource.

A copy of the consultation document can also be found here.

We look forward to receiving your views in due course and please feel free to share this survey with your colleagues.
