The Fire Minister, Penny Mordaunt MP, has written to the RFU providing further assurances and clarification over the pension scheme changes due to take place next year.
We welcome the additional communication from the minster, who clearly remains fully committed to the expanded use of Retained Firefighters across the country and is especially grateful to our members for their continued support and understanding during the periods of strike action.
What is also helpful is further, more ‘user-friendly ‘ and Retained focused explanations of exactly what the implications of the new 2015 Pension Scheme will mean to our members.
