Tristan Ashby

Tristan was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer in 2016 and has been with the Association for over 25 years, he also served as an On-Call firefighter in Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service.

Mark Palmer

Mark was elected as the Association's President in 2022 having served as the Vice-President since 2016 and works in Devon and Somerset as a Wholetime Watch Manager responsible for firefighter development.

Anthony Maude

Anthony was elected as the Association's Vice-President in 2022, has worked within the Fire sector as a Civil Servant and latterly for the Essex Police Fire and Crime Commissioner. Anthony brings a wealth of 'Fire' experience to the board.

David Crawford

David is an On-Call Crew Manager in Scotland and has worked within Grampian/Scottish Fire & Rescue Service for over 20 years. David is also an FRSA Official for Scottish Fire.

Beccy Barr

Beccy has been a wholetime firefighter with Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service since 2019. Previously she spent almost 20 years as a journalist and broadcaster. Beccy has a degree from the London School of Economics, a PgDip in Newspaper Journalism from London’s City University and is studying for an MSc in Disaster Management.

Dawn Coates

Dawn is currently an On-Call firefighter in Cumbria.

Ben Redwood

Ben is the Association's Lead on Mental Health. He has previously been an On-Call firefighter in Devon and Somerset but now holds a Wholetime firefighter role in the same service.

James Collins

James is an On-Call Firefighter in Essex Fire & Rescue Service and as a local official in Essex has made huge progress in obtaining parity between On-Call and Wholetime staff.

Wayne Jones

Wayne is a Group Manager in Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service. He joined the on-call service in 1998 and progressed through the ranks until being promoted to wholetime Station Manager in 2011. He was promoted to Group Manager in 2022.

Sandy Halliday

Sandy recently took over the reins from Jenny Amos who had been the Association's National Finance Officer for over 21 years. Sandy provides the organisation with a fresh perspective and is a welcome addition to the board.

Mark Milner

Mark is the FRSA Secretary in Cambridgeshire and an active and effective local official in the county who has overseen a huge amount of change in Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service.
