Both the RFU and the FOA share concerns about the use of social media as a vehicle for intimidation and bullying. This is a particular issue during periods of industrial unrest within the Fire and Rescue Service as was the case with the recent pension’s dispute. As an expression of shared concern, a Joint Position Statement has been prepared and agreed.

The statement appears on both organisations’ websites and it is hoped that members will support the document and make use of it to promote good practice across the Fire and Rescue Service.
